Like others have said, aside from those you can upgrade any normal weapon down the Magic or Enchanted upgrade paths to make them scale with Int. The Int and Faith scaling upgrade paths tend to suck with most weapons, though.And it's not a zero-sum game. You CAN use both scaling weapons AND elemental weapons. Just use elemental weapons early on then switch to scaling weapons once your stats are high enough that it makes a difference. And the Moonlight Butterfly Horn is, to put it lightly, complete garbage. There is NO practical reason not to take the shield.
