The stock rods on the DE will bend when pushed past around 400hp. There are no mods you can do other than building the bottom end rotating assembly to handle 15 psi. In the 80 versions where they started using an electronic stall converter they don't hold up well at all.You can get them handle power/torque levels above that but they are generally not reliable enough for everytday street use.
